Many Colectors believe this to be the rarest antique safe in the USA and it is the only example known to exist. It is an unrestored Circa 1870 Marvin Safe Company Salesman Sample Brothel safe. It is pictured here in its custom 100 year old rotating glass domed display case with crushed red velvet carpeting. The safe has a 70 number combination dial just like the original full size safe. But Marvin could not miniaturize a real combination lock to function and be that small , so they made it with a faux dial which when turned to the left unscrews to expose a hidden key lock to operate the bolt work. The safe retains its original key and tag from Marvin Safe Co. Dimensions are 15"H x 6 1/2"W x 6 1/2"D. Weight is approx. 20 lbs. with out the display.
