Circa 1878 Chubb & Sons Lock and Safe Co. Victorian Parlor Safe in a real Burlwood cabinet, with a Bombay front. Cabinet retains its original finish with scribe lines. The safe is hidden in the upper half of the cabinet behind a burlwood door. There is a key hole in the upper left hand side of the cabinet to allow access to the safe. The lock is spring loaded so when you turn the key the door pops open on its own.The safe also has 3 lockable drawers in the bottom half of the cabinet all keyed the same.The front of the safe is all handpainted and made to look like a framed picture. Truly unique. Inside the safe has a double key lock with dead bolt. Dimensions are 58"H x 33"W x 23"D. Weight is approx. 500 lbs.
