The Antique Safe Collector would like to announce a free new listing service to aid safe collectors sell and buy antique safes. Effective February 10, 2008, The Antique Safe Collector web site (TheAntiqueSafeCollector.com) will have a new section where individuals, who have an antique safe they wish to sell, can have it listed for free for 30 days to expose it to potential buyers. NONE of the safes on this page are the property of The Antique Safe Collector. The criteria to qualify for this free listing is as follows:

1.  Safes must be 1910 or older.
2.  All listings must contain a contact name, location (state), and either an email address or a phone number.
3.  All listings must include a verbal description of the safe (up to 100 words), up to 3 photos of the safe inside and outside, dimensions of 
the safe (HxWxD) in inches and an asking price.
4.  The listing will last for a 30 days from the date of initial listing and then will be removed from the site.
5.  Safes can be relisted for a second 30 day period if approved by The Antique Safe Collector.
6.  The Antique Safe Collector charges no fees for this listing service and no fees or comissions on any sale that comes as a 
result of the listing.
7.  The Antique Safe Collector is not responsible for the accuracy of the information posted by the seller nor is The Antique

Rare Circa 1870 Herring Ladies Table Top Jewelry Safe. This safe was used by ladies of that period to protect thier jewelry in their boudoir. They were also used as table top safes in parlors. It retains its original exterior graphics, and original crush red velvet interior with 2 locking maple drawers with the original signed keys. It has beautiful exposed engraved boltwork on the inside of the door with a known working combination lock. Dimensions are 15 1/2"H x17 1/2"W x 12"D. Weight is approx. 200lbs. Circa 1860's English Lingerie chest with a jewelry safe hidden inside. The safe was made by S. Mordan & Co. of London. The top and bottom drawers are functional and velvet lined. The 4 middle drawers are fake and have a key lock to expose the inner safe. The safe interior has 2 velvet lined lockable drawers. Dimensions are 44"H x 24" W x 21 1/2"D. Weight is approx. 450 lbs. Circa 1870 Herring and Farrell Antique Parlor Safe. This safe is metal painted to look like real wood. It has 2 doors with all original graphics. The interior is all original with crushed red velvet interior with 3 lockable drawers and a safety deposit box. The lock is a Dexter combination lock with a known working combination. The dial is hidden behind the right hand oval which swings out to expose the dial. The left hand oval is a dummy. Dimensions are 41"H x 55"W x 26"D. Weight is approx. 1800 lbs. The safe is on its original wheels, but they are hidden behind the front trim piece, so that you cannot see them.This is an unusual safe that you do not see very often in this condition. J. Baum antique burglar resistant jewelry chest. It is designed to give you excellent security from burglary or forced entry. It is used to hold jewelry, cash, hand guns, coins etc. It also comes with a tubular steel stand made to hold the safe.This jewelry chest came from the factory mounted inside a very large fire safe, so it could give both burglar and fire protection. By itself it offers little fire protection but excellent burglar protection. Lock is a Yale Bronze 063-1/2, 4 wheel factory upgrade. Door is 2" thick and the walls are 1" thick plate steel. This early 1900's safe was made by Herring and Co. and distributed by Mossman in New York City. The original Mossman logo is on the front of the safe and the Herring name is on the bottom.
